GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

ALAN WOOD FRAMED BUILDINGS

 Specifications listed are for a fully finished & insulated building. An un-finished building loses the insulation, interior paneling & the drywall ceiling.

FLOOR CONSTRUCTION

2x6 Douglas Fir #2 & better placed 16" OC covered with 3/4" tongue & groove plywood decking. The floor is attached to 2 pressure treated skids.

We can also provide the buildings withOUT the floor, also. If a floor is NOT provided, the bottom of the walls is outfitted with a pressure treated skid for easy anchoring to the foundation.

 

WALL CONSTRUCTION

2x4 Douglas Fir Stud grad & better 16" OC. Standard interior wall covering is 1/4" Birch wood paneling. Standard exterior siding is 5/8" t-111 wood siding with grooves 4" OC. Standard paint colors are Beige with Brown trim. Other schemes available.

ROOF CONSTRUCTION

2x6 Douglas Fir #2 & better 24" OC. Topped with a tapered 2x4 to give the roof a 1/2" in 12" slope. Sheathed with 1/2" CDX plywood which is then covered with a layer of 15 lb felt paper. Everything is topped off with a single piece of 30 ga steel to seal out the weather.

INSULATION

R-11 fiberglass insulation for the walls & floor. R-19 for the

roof. (R-19 and/or R-30 available).

ELECTRICAL

A wide range of electrical available from simple circuits with standard wiring to Class I, Division I explosion proof wiring.

 

CAULKING

Every screw used to hold the roof metal in place will be given a dab of caulking to insure there are no leaks in the building. The doors & windows are also caulked to keep water out.

SIZES

Up to 60' long, 13'6" wide and 9'6" tall in any 1 section. Multiple units can be joined together to form larger complexes.
